The Machine

A preview of my pencils for Luke Shannon's script "the Machine."  I'm pretty excited about the project but I'm not at liberty to give too much away, but Luke was kind enough to let me share this page in it's early stages!

White Rabbit

Speed in his costume from the Marvel Fairy Tales adaptation of Alice in Wonderland written by C.B Cebulski and Illustrated by Takeshi Miyazawa...  I think he should wear this all the time, but I imagine he would just get laughed at :P

Outwitting the Imp

Based on the African folk-tale, the story "Outwitting the Imp" was retold by Murray McGregor in R.E.A.L The Canadian Kids' Magazine with this illustration to tie it all together.

A little preview art of the main character for my in progress web-comic, 'Panhead'.  Hopefully I'll be ready to launch it next month for weekly updates!

How To Train Your Dragon

Just a little preview of my final print for Toronto FanExpo!!!  I'm a pretty big fan of the How to Train Your Dragon movie that came out this year, so here's my tribute.

This is only a small fraction of the overall composition, stay posted for the full image!

Teen Titans

Cute seems to be my theme this month... anyways... Teen Titans!   I super love teen heroes they are way too much fun... This is sort of inspired by Karl Kerschl's work on Teen Titans Year One, especially his charming portrayal of Aqualad as super geeky and awkward.

More teen hero drawings to come I think!

A Little Piece of Nostalgia

So you may or may not know that the N64 is just about my favourite game console despite outdated technology and graphics that by today's standards just don't hold up.   But I love it!!!  So here are some of my favourite characters from the games dearest to my little heart.  I'm also going to be selling this image as a print at the end of the month at the Toronto Fan Expo, so if you're there, come look me up!

(Also, I know that Fox and Wolf are in modified versions of their uniforms from Star Fox Assault which is a GameCube game -- but they were just too damn cute this way!)

Just the colour update of my self portrait...

Keeping in theme with my last post this is the "little guy" character design I was working on earlier this year all coloured up!

Post Apocalypse Anyone?

These are some sketches in various stages of completion that came out of a character design exercise.  The theme is post apocalypse using character archetypes, in this case it was pretty simple: design a guy, a gal, a big guy and a little guy.

Rainbow Girl!!

Just a few sample pages from the OGN I'm working on shopping around to publishers.  I'm pretty excited about it!!!

Once Upon a Time in 1929...

A few of my favourites from my graphic novel adaptation of the classic tale: Beauty and the Beast.  There were 26 illustrated pages completed over a 12 week period for my Children's Book Illustration course taught by Dusan Petricic.  It was a little crazy to finish on top of all my other courses last semester but totally worth it to hold the bound book in the end!

The players.

Anthology Comic Sequentials

A selection of my sequentials for the upcoming anthology comic being published by my college featuring the work of the graduating class.  Several students opted to contribute to a five chapter sequence about a girl going through a fighting game with a new opponent on each level.  The following pages (sans lettering) are part of the first chapter/level.

Here's an action-heavy sequence featuring the Avengers from Marvel Comics battling Magneto.  Pages were scripted by instructor and illustrator Dave Ross!

The last page is a quieter scene with the Wasp and Giant Man arguing in a restaurant.
